Missions

At the close of every service at Glynwood, we are dismissed with the words, “Glynwood, you are sent.” This simple yet powerful reminder reflects our belief that the mission doesn’t end when the service does—it begins. As followers of Christ, we are sent out into the community of Prattville and beyond to live out the gospel in our everyday lives. Whether it's in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, or homes, we see every interaction as an opportunity to reflect the love, hope, and truth of Jesus. Our church isn’t just a building; it's a people on mission—intentionally living sent lives for the sake of the gospel.

Alabama baptist children's home

Glynwood is proud to partner with the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home, a ministry dedicated to protecting, nurturing, and restoring children and families through Christ-centered care.

adoption & foster support

At Glynwood, we are passionate about supporting foster care. Our church has a dedicated Foster Ministry Team. We also provide a Foster Closet stocked with baby items, clothing, and other essentials — all available for foster families to borrow or keep as needed. Donations of new or gently used items are always welcome and help us continue serving families in our community.

If you’re interested in fostering, we’d love to support you on that journey. Feel free to contact us, and we’ll help guide you through the first steps of the process.

Compassion ministries

In Matthew 25:35–36, Jesus teaches that true righteousness is shown through caring for others — feeding the hungry, giving water to the thirsty, welcoming strangers, clothing those in need, and visiting the imprisoned. At Glynwood, we take this calling to heart through several outreach ministries:

Matthew 25 Ministry – Partners with the Gillespie Center in Autauga County and the Montgomery Homeless Shelter to provide food and water to those in need.

Benevolence Ministry – Serves our local community with food from our in-house pantry and offers limited assistance to Autauga County residents.

Women on Mission & Deacon Ministry – Supports local widows, widowers, and homebound seniors by providing meals and helpful services.

Community Partnerships – We also collaborate with local organizations such as the River Region Pregnancy Center and the Autauga Interfaith Care Center to extend care beyond our walls.
