Alabama BAptist Children's Home
The Alabama Baptist Children's Home (ABCH) is one of Glynwood's mission partners. Specifically, we work to assist ABCH in their mission of by providing Alabama children in the foster care system with loving, Christian foster families who are trained to serve their needs. Matthew 25 ministries
God is doing something at Glynwood! Since the 2022 Dobbs decision overturning Roe v Wade, many families in our church family have responded to God's call to foster or adopt at-risk children. Currently, a portion of our offering goes to support a Montgomery area foster closet, providing resources for foster families. Within the next 2-3 years, we hope to have our own foster closet operating.
Jesus said that what separates the righteous from the unrighteous is whether they fed the hungry, gave water to the thirsty, welcomed strangers, clothed the naked, and visited those in prison (see Matthew 25:35-36). At Glynwood, we work with several local ministries under the umbrella of our Matthew 25 ministry. These include a food pantry funded through our quarterly benevolence offering, prison ministry, meals for shut-ins, and limited assistance for Autauga County residents in need. In addition, we work with several local helping agencies, such as River Region Pregnancy Center, Autauga Interfaith Care Center, and others.
